The white has covered the land

The moon in front of me stands

Between the mighty mountains

of Lofoten

Oblivious is the child

Delighted by the white and the wild

Clinging to his daddy and

his mummy

The fox has broken the cover

Long before the early hour...

Now the evening is closing in

in Lofoten

Twinkling is a star

An engine is sounding from afar

A fishing boat is approaching

its destination

Ringing of bells

Remembrance of a horse that tells

This winter eve is equivalent

to my childhood

Turning out the light

To see the winter night

To hear the sound of silence

when the snowflakes fall

The moon now shining bright

Over the landscape dressed in white

And the child falls asleep to his

daddy’s lullaby
